  • The membership plan is OPTIONAL and you can still ask questions without a membership.

    If you did enroll and wish to cancel the membership, click here to learn how to cancel your membership.

    To check your membership status, log in and click My Account at the top of the page. Next, click Membership on the left panel. Click here to go directly to the Membership tab.

    If you are not enrolled in a membership, you can sign up for our 7-day free trial.

    If your membership has already been cancelled, you can always come back and reactivate your membership.

    If you have an Active membership, you will be able to manage your membership.

    If you did not enroll in a membership, but noticed charges on your account, it is likely that the charges are associated to a question you posted. To review your payment information and recent questions, visit the Order History page.

    Please note that your JustAnswer account will remain active even if you cancel your membership. Once your membership is cancelled, you will not receive recurring monthly charges and will only be charged when you post a new question.

    • Membership Benefits: Ask verified Experts as many questions as you would like in any category during the length of your membership, subject to the Fair Use Policy (described below).
    • Payment Terms: By signing up for a membership, you are authorizing JustAnswer to automatically charge a membership fee each month or year you are enrolled in a membership program to the payment source that you provide to JustAnswer (e.g. credit card, PayPal account). The monthly or yearly membership fee is refundable until the end of the membership period.
    • JustAnswer offers several different membership plans, all priced differently. To enroll in a JustAnswer membership, you must first post a question to the site. Once you've posted a question, you will have the opportunity to enroll into a Basic, Plus or Premium membership plan.
    • Your Right to Cancel or Sign Up for a New Membership: You have the right to cancel at any time. To cancel, when you are logged into your JustAnswer account, click on My Account on the top right of the page. Next, click on Membership.The Membership page shows subscription details and includes the option to cancel a membership and edit payment information. 

    *Fair Use Policy: Memberships are intended and authorized only for personal, non-transferrable, not-for-resale use only. Excessive use by any particular customer may impair JustAnswer’s ability to offer memberships at reasonable prices to other customers and/or indicate non-personal, transferred or resale use.

    JustAnswer's Right to Cancel: Notwithstanding any other terms, JustAnswer reserves the right to cancel your membership or any membership program in its entirety at any time and for any reason, including but not limited to your excessive use (as determined by JustAnswer in its sole discretion). In the event that JustAnswer cancels a membership, it will refund the current month's or year’s membership fee.

  • You will be charged for your initial question prior to taking the free trial. If you do not cancel before the 7-day free trial period ends, you will be charged your monthly membership fee on the eighth day.

  • There are several reasons why you might be asked to pay for your question, although you are enrolled in a membership. Some of the reasons include but are not limited to:

    • You are not logged into your account. Please log in and try posting your questions again.
    • You are enrolled in a 5 questions per month plan and have already asked 5 questions during your billing period.
    • The Expert offered you an Additional Service such as a phone call, secure remote assistance, and document preparation.
    • Your payment failed. Update your payment information here.
    • You are not enrolled in a membership.

  • Your initial question deposit (typically $5) is separate from your membership fee. If you already entered your credit card information and if your Expert has responded to you, then your deposit has been processed. Your deposit remains in your JustAnswer account until you give your Expert a positive rating. You will be charged for the membership at the end of the free trial period.

    Please note, the membership plan is optional and you can still pay to receive an answer to one question, without enrolling into a membership.

7-day free trial

  • The free trial lasts for 7 days. If you do not cancel, on the 8th day your service will continue to avoid disruption. Remember that you can cancel your membership at any time.

    NOTE: The membership is not retroactive which means that any questions posted before you became a member are not free of charge.
